The pleasure of a great skiing area...

The pleasure of a great skiing area... CHAMPAGNY en VANOISE, in the heart of the Olympic Savoy, is one of the 10 resorts of LA PLAGNE, a ski area ranging from 1250m to 3250m... 220km of ski slopes, 10 000 hectares of playground... and then there's PARADISKI (la Plagne, Peisey-Vallandry, Les Arcs), one of the biggest ski areas in the world (232 ski slopes, 420kms)! The 10-seater cable car which leaves from the village at 1250 m, take 8 minutes to drop the skiers off at 2000m. For snowboarders : 2 snowboard parks, including an half-pipe in the ski area for big thrills. You can also drive to COURCHEVEL and " 3 VALLEYS AREA" within 30 minutes.

Discover other skiing areas free of charge : your 6-day lift-pass for Paradiski or "Discovery" Paradisky (whilst valid) entitles you to a day in the following resorts : Espace Killy (Tignes, Val d'Isère), 3 Vallées (Val Thorens, Les Ménuires, Courchevel, Méribel, la Tania), Pralognan la Vanoise and les Saisies.

Un snow park

Facing south on the Champagny skiing area, the snowpark is accessible from the top of the Rossa skilift at 2200m high. Freestylers (on ski or snowboard) will enjoy : 4 to 8m long "tables" (for jumps), a 12m long "spine", some "rails", a "transfer" and a 200m long boarder cross (a skill trail with banked corners, moguls "woops", "tables"...)

Crowned by the Grande Motte and the Grande Casse, the Champagny le Haut plateau is the setting of one of the most magnificent cross-country skiing areas in Savoie. The cross-country skiing trails stretch over the plateau to the bottom of the valley, skirting the forest and running alongside the Doron river and in and out the hamlets. There are thirty kilometres of maintained trails, suitable for both to the skating technique and diagonal stride. Shuttle Champagny le Bas - Champagny le Haut : 5 returns/day from Sunday to Friday, 4 returns on Saturday.

Walk in the snow

At the start of the village of Champagny and from the plateau of Champagny le Haut, 4 walks are marked (according to snow conditions) cross the forest overhang the village or till the end of the valley. These walks are really a jaunt in the wild nature. One pedestrian trail follows the cross-country skiing trails with information signs along about the valley, its history, its fauna.

5 returns/day from Sunday to Friday, 4 returns on Saturday.

Snow shoes

Experience the charms of hiking on snow-shoes and make your tracks on virgin snow, in a forest of spruce trees or in a sunny high country valley. Discover the nature differently; observe the ibexes above the "Friburge" hamlet. And so you won't get lost, one snowshoeing trail follows the cross-country skiing trails.
